White House Scientists Archive
The White House Scientist and Science Policy Dynamic Digital Archive collects and preserves materials related to the history of scientists serving as policy advisors to the president beginning with the George H.W. Bush administration. In particular, the online collection documents the evolution of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) and its managing federal agency, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), as well as the lives, careers, and policy contributions of its membership.
The digital collection is managed by the Science and Technology Policy Program at Rice University's Baker Institute for Public Policy in collaboration with Rice University's Woodson Research Center. Funding for the collection was provided by grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF # 1854055) and the Richard Lounsbery Foundation. Additional funding provided by the American Institute of Physics and Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
If you are interested in donating materials to the archive, please contact Kenny Evans at ke1@rice.edu.
