George W. Bush Science Policy Collection
This collection hosts materials related to the science and technology policies, agencies, and professionals of the George W. Bush Administration (2001-2009). In 2001, President Bush named Dr. John H. ("Jack") Marburger III, a physicist serving as director of the Brookhaven National Laboratory, as the director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). In that role, he advised the President on matters related to science and technology and co-chaired the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) with E. Floyd Kvamme, a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield
& Byers.
The materials of this collection are chiefly sourced from the archives of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum and National Archives and Records Administration-operated archived webpages. They are reproduced here as part of the public domain; other materials may be restricted.
