Marilyn Hassid SAR Collection
This collection contains a scrapbook that features correspondence, event materials, news clippings, and photographs of the independent high school fraternity, Sigma Alpha Rho. Compiled by Marilyn Levitch Hassid, the item chronicles the year 1967.
Sigma Alpha Rho was founded in 1917 by 11 young men in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to create a collective that fosters leadership development and planning skills. It is the oldest continuous independent Jewish high school fraternity. The Houston chapter was established in 1935.
