Houston Hillel scrapbooks
The collection consists of scrapbooks containing photographs, calendars, newsletters, news clippings, and event materials created by the individual chapters of Houston Hillel. The materials presented range from 1965 to 2007.
From its founding in 1923 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, the Hillel Foundation has grown into the largest Jewish campus organization in the world. Hillel's mission is to celebrate Jewish life and learning and to pursue social justice around the world.The Houston chapter aims to accomplish this mission by being an inclusive and pluralistic community to support the lives of students and young professionals of Jewish heritage.
