Houston Hadassah collection
This collection contains scrapbooks with clippings of newsletters, event invitations, news, marketing materials, photographs, and memorabilia. The scrapbooks chronicle events, activities, and accomplishments of the Houston chapter of Haddasah.
The parent Jewish women’s organization was formed in 1912 by Henrietta Szold as a response to the harsh conditions she witnessed in pre-state Israel. The Houston chapter is composed of 15 groups, and it is the largest Jewish women's organization in Houston.
