Daum / Gersh Family papers
This collection consists of a meeting minutes notebook that chronicles a portion of Houston Hadassah's meetings from 1937 to 1945. The minutes reflect the chapter’s Business and Professional Women’s Group meetings. The item reflects Dora Ginsberg Daum’s involvement in the chapter.
Dora Ginsberg Daum emigrated from Russia to San Antonio, Texas in 1903 later settling with husband Sam in Houston. Sam Daum was a bookkeeper, while Dora Daum involved herself in social works. They are buried at Beth Yeshurun Cemetery.
The original materials are held by the Woodson Research Center in Fondren Library. Search the finding aid/inventory for the Daum/Gersh family papers, MS 850.
