Lovett World Tour: Postcards
This collection consists of postcards collected during the Lovett World Tour.
In 1908, the Rice Institute Board of Trustees sent their newly chosen President, Edgar Odell Lovett, on a world tour seeking out the best aspects of the leading colleges and universities. On this tour, he gathered information about faculty structures, university architecture, and made important contacts with scholars from all over the world.
The original materials are held by the Woodson Research Center in Fondren Library. Search the finding aid/inventory for the Edgar Odell Lovett and Mary Ellen Hale Lovett family papers, MS 494.
