Danny McVey collection
This collection consists of a black and white photograph of Shake Russell, Dana Cooper, and Jimmy Raycraft performing at Rockefeller's in Houston, Texas.
Houston-native Danny McVey started doing sound engineering work for local folk band Paradise in the 1970s. From the late 1970s until around 1980, he moved on to doing sound for the Michael Marcoulier Band. As the 1980s ramped up, he worked the sound board for close friend Jimmy Raycraft's band The Dishes. After The Dishes broke up, he did sound for Beans Barton and the Bi-Peds for the next 20 years. In 1994, McVey was nominated by the "Houston Press" for Best Live Sound.
