Boys from Houston research files
This collection consists of black and white and color photos of folk music performances at the Sand Mountain Coffee House in Houston, Texas. It also includes ephemera from the coffee house: a copy of the venue newsletter called the Sand Mountain Gazette and Almanack, a business card, and a signed menu.
Vicki Welch Ayo wrote Boys From Houston: The Spirit and Image of Our Music, co-wrote Boys From Houston II: Deep in the Heart with William C. DeLaVergne, and wrote a third book in the series called Boys From Houston III: Groove-In. The books chronicle Houston's and the region's thriving music scenes and their effects on the community.
