Ralph Fales photograph collection
This collection consists of photographs of musicians and other entertainers from a variety of performance venues in Houston.
Ralph Fales learned photography in Iceland. When he moved to Houston in the mid-1970s, he used his skills to photograph musicians and entertainers performing in Houston music venues, like The Summit, Texas Opry House, Liberty Hall, and La Bastille. These musicians range from the jazz, blues, folk, and rock music worlds, and include notable performers like: Bob Marley, Lightnin' Hopkins, B.B. King, and many others.
The original materials are held by the Woodson Research Center in Fondren Library.
