Ye Old College Inn memorabilia
This collection consists of photographs, documents, menus, and a cookbook.
Ye Old College Inn was founded by George Martin near the Rice Institute in 1918 and became a popular restaurant for Rice athletes and coaches. In 1946 Ernie Coker took over management and opened the Varsity Room at the Inn, which served as a banquet hall for meetings, sports banquets, and dances.
