The Houston Age newspaper
This collection consists of issues of the Houston Age, including the Daily Age and the Weekly Age.
The Houston Age, also published as the Houston Morning Age, was a daily newspaper published from 1870 to 1897. Published by Dan H. McGary, the Houston Age represented its publisher and editor's strong Democratic ties and their anti-labor stances regularly. McGary published the Houston Age until moving it to Wallisville in 1897, where its title was changed to the Age.
The original materials are held by the Woodson Research Center in Fondren Library.
