This collection consists of photographs and documents related to the life and business interests of Roy M. Huffington.
After Roy Huffington stepped down from his position as a geologist for Humble Oil, he formed Roy M. Huffington, Inc. in 1956. The company would later become an international oil and gas exploration company and become known as Huffco. In 1966 Huffco signed a product sharing contract with Pertamina to explore the Kutai Basin in Indonesia and in 1972 discovered a large reserve of natural gas at Badak field which would be produced into liquefied natural gas. In 1989 Huffington sold his business to the Chinese Petroleum Corporation of Taiwan.
