This collection consists of an architectural rendering of the Astrodome, exterior view.
The Astrodome was the world's first domed sports stadium, located in Houston, Texas. It was designed by the architecture firms of Hermon Lloyd & W. B. Morgan, and Wilson, Morris, Crain and Anderson. It was completed in November 1964. Houston-born Ralph Anderson Jr. (1923-1990) studied architecture at Rice Institute, joined the architectural firm of Wilson, Morris and Crain and eventually rose to become a partner and later president of the company. Anderson participated in the design of the Astrodome.
