Orlando Poole letters
This collection contains letters, one from Orlando L. Poole to his mother. The other is from Poole to his sister-in-law Nancy Parting.
Orlando L. Poole had a land grant roughly 19 miles west of Texarcana, Texas. He helped in the settling of the town Boston, Texas which became the county seat of Bowie County in 1841. Government records indicate that Poole was appointed postmaster of Boston on May 13, 1852.
