This collection contains mainly photographs and some newsclippings, correpondence, and ephemera related to the life of Jesse H. Jones and his family members, including Audrey Jones Beck.
Jesse H. Jones was a Houston-based entrepreneur, politician, and philanthropist. He held a variety of political positions, including the Secretary of Commerce in the Franklin D. Roosevelt administration. He also founded the Houston Endowment. His granddaughter, Audrey Jones Beck, was a patron of the arts in Houston, and has a named building at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
