James Lockhart Autry family papers
This collection contains photographs, letters, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, business papers, event programs, and memorabilia from the Autry family. The items date from the early 1850s to the late 1950s.
James Lockhart Autry II moved to Texas in 1876 to practice law and worked in the oil and gas industry. His children with Allie Belle Kinsloe Autry graduated from the Rice Institute.
