Donald William Looser earned a Ph.D. from Florida State University in 1972. He had already been working as an assistant professor and then an administrator at what was Houston Baptist University, now Houston Christian University. His last position was the vice president of academic affairs, which ended in 2007.
The original materials are held by the Woodson Research Center in Fondren Library.
